Pad Thai Thip Samai (ผัดไทยทิพย์สมัย), perhaps the most famous Pad Thai in Bangkok, is located on Maha Chai Road and has been operating since 1966. The place can be easily spotted as it is always busy and full of people. Thip Samai uses the very best of ingredients to cook Pad Thai, ranging from crisp bean sprout to fresh prawn.

Original Pad Thai (ผัดไทยธรรมดา) was something ordinary but extraordinary. I usually find Pad Thai in other places rather oily and something not tasty. But this was not the case here. Though Original Pad Thai had no prawn, the enjoyment of having it surely would bring you back here (8/10). Egg Wrapped Pad Thai with Prawn (ผัดไทยไข่ห่อ) was indeed my favourite here. Chanthaburi noodle/narrow rice noodle (เส้นจันท์) was stir-fried with fat from head of prawn and fresh prawn then wrapped with egg. One of the best Pad Thai in town, I must say (9/10).

Pad Thai Thip Samai is definitely a place worth a visit for all Bangkok visitors as well as a regular place for a quick meal for Bangkok residence. A truly authentic pad thai place, it must be.
