Elvio Cogno does not only produce tremendous Nebbiolo based wine. Its dessert range of Moscato d'Asti is as well delicious. It is not those complex nor elegant type. At least it presents interesting character with luscious sweetness that can be enjoy largely. As with other Moscato d'Ast, it is meant to be consumed upon released. I find this bottle a really good value one. Fun and delicious. It would pair well with citrus base dessert or even spicy food like Thai food or Chinese food.

Appearance: pale yellow
Aroma: apple and lychee
Palate: fine but minimum effervescence, light and mild, lychee-like sweetness, easy drinking

This Moscato d'Asti by Pelassa can be enjoyable on its own as an aperitif as well as pairing with light dessert such as éclair. To me, the complexity seems to be the missing piece but for a good sunny day, this will do. Though, the aroma and bouquet, as in Massolino Moscato d'Asti, are not quite there, it still preserves its elegance. This is a wine to be consumed now.

Value for money: 3/10
Professional Rating: CT - 86/100

Appearance: light straw yellow
Aroma: pear and tropical fruits with floral floor
Palate: lightly fruity with tropical charms, candy sweetness but not overly done, hint of white flower fragrance, frothy with fine bubble texture, low in acid and perhaps insufficient to balance, short finish, lack of complexity

An enjoyable sparkling that you would surely please majority of women. The light taste with low alcohol make it easily drunk. Being moscato spumante with of course sweetness does not it putting off gentlemen, its freshness makes this Bottega Moscato accessible to gentlemen too. Though it is not my kind of sparkling, I would say I can enjoy it as aperitif but not with food. As for value for money, it can be a little overpriced from my view. By the way, do serve it cold to enjoy it. Anyway, this can be a choice for party.

Appearance: bright golden yellow
Aroma: fresh and fruity bouquet with pear-like
Palate: very light and fine effervescence but not so frothy and creamy, sweet but not immense, delicious scent of citrus and honey, delicate acidity with decent finish

Not so expensive with degree of joyfulness. I particularly enjoy this wine on any chill weekend. It is a kind of dessert wine that is enjoyable as aperitif. Of course, it should go pretty well with fruity dessert like apple tart or key lime pie too. Appreciation goes to its fine fragance. Drink it now and make sure it is chilled. Raise a glass!!!
