Appearance: dense ruby
Aroma: tight nose of blackberry, plum, cassis, and light balsamic
Palate: dense notes of jammy black fruits, exotic spices, chocolate, and tar. round and complex with half-refined tannins. finish rather long with layers.
Opulent in style. Not really my style but pleasurable. It was rich with expressive notes which matched well with roasts and cheese but those acidity and balsamic hints were not my liking. Approachable now and a decade to go.
