Gai and Joel Global Flavors, an international restaurant at the far end of Lang Suan Road, is decorated in a rather modern style. Many dishes here are in fusion style: East meets West. Coming here may be a little hassle as it is rather far from public transportation, having Chidlom BTS station as the closest one. Driving here is ok but you either park along Lang Suan Road else park in LangSuan Balcony parking area, which is rather limited. On the service side, I found that every single staffs are very polite and friendly but lack of knowledge from my perspective. Not one of the best in town but ok to try out though. Good thing is the restaurant is rather big and it may be good for group gathering.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with Pineapple and Kiwi Juice, Seared Tuna, and a Basket of Breads. All of which are just ok.

For starter, we again chose soups for the choice. Forest Mushroom, Truffle Nutmeg Foam and Cep Salt was perhaps the best during this meal. Strong and intense flavour of mushroom. Bits of mushroom that was not filtered were rather pleasant (7/10).
The other one was Purple Potato Leek, Cream of Sweet Potato and Sauteed Leek. Not one of the best I have had in town though. Creamy with sweetness from potato was delightful but lack of flavour (6/10).

Entremets were also served in-between with Pomegranate Sherbet. This was interesting at first look but disappointment from the taste. Too sweet and too icy in big lump (3/10).

For the main course, we had Striped Sea Bass "Patata Salata", Greek Estima Potato Salad, Horta Cultivated Greens Capperi, and Green Olive Harpuka Tapenade as the first choice. This dish had rather mild flavour that was led by salty scent. However, it was overcooked to my like and side dish was too normal (5/10).
The other choice was Salmon Trout Miso Confit: Slow Roast 60 Degree, Sweet Bean, Coriander, Spring Onion and Chinese Celery. Surely closest to fusion food for this dish. But nothing outstanding, miso with celery tasted like light curry here. Again fish was overdone, giving rather hard touch (4/10).

Though did not have positive experience from this visit, most of dishes were fusion in the way that did not match. I probably need to try non fusion dishes for the next visit and give it a comparison.
